Services

Our streets. Our children. Our responsibility.

Lambeth Schools Patrol (LSP) is a community-led, public health response to youth violence in our borough. We show up—not as authority figures, but as neighbours, mentors, and protectors—because we know the risks young people face every day after school. And we know that real change starts with trust.

We work where harm happens: outside school gates, on busy streets, in the spaces between home and safety. Our mission is simple—keep young people safe, support families, and strengthen community bonds. We do this through consistent presence, lived experience, and culturally grounded care.

    Schools Patrol

Every weekday from 3:30–5:30pm, our trained community members and youth workers are out on the streets of Brixton. We’re visible. We’re trusted. And we’re there for the moments that matter.

    We:

Build real relationships with young people

Deter violence, exploitation, and anti-social behaviour

Offer direction to safe spaces and local opportunities

We’re not there to police—we’re there to protect, connect, and listen. This is early intervention, rooted in credibility and care.

    Youth Hub

Our Youth Hub is a space built with young people, not just for them. Through creative, honest, and culturally relevant sessions, we support:

    Mental health and emotional resilience

    Aspirations, confidence, and life skills

    Identity, belonging, and purpose

We co-design workshops with youth voices at the centre. And we work with schools, artists, therapists, and mentors who reflect the community we serve.

    Parent Support Network

When parents feel supported, young people thrive. Our Parent Support Network creates safe spaces for connection, reflection, and learning.

    We offer:

    Peer-led support and group conversation

Guidance on youth culture, risks, and safeguarding

Training to build confidence, understanding, and leadership

This is about walking alongside families—not blaming, but building together.

    Family Intervention Service

When families hit crisis, we step in with care, not judgment. Our 12-week intensive programme supports whole households to stabilise, recover, and move forward.

    We provide:

Mentoring and advocacy for young people

Coaching and emotional support for parents

Debt support and financial wellbeing guidance

Help with education, housing, and health

We build trust first—then we help families build lasting change.

    Training & Consultancy

We share what works. Our training and consultancy support other grassroots groups, schools, and local leaders to adopt a relational, public health approach to youth safety.

    We offer:

    Leadership and mentoring development

    Community-led youth engagement frameworks

Support to set up Schools Patrols in new boroughs

DBS-checked staff for events and local initiatives

We’re not gatekeeping this model—we’re growing it.

Why LSP?

Because we’ve lived it.
Because we show up.
Because we don’t wait for violence to happen—we work to prevent it.

We are relational, responsive, and rooted in Lambeth. And we believe every young person deserves to walk home safe, feel seen, and know they belong.
